day 72 of (us)

'even though we waves crash onto the shores as if death was approaching us, we still live on as one with the ocean'
(jsl)

thought of the moment: when we were young, we always dreamed of having some sort of immortality or super hero powers. once we realize though that we also have an expiration date, we start to fear it. i really wanted to stay young forever to see how the world changes, but in reality that doesn't happen. the waves of the water came from a memoir written by one of my favorite authors in whom he has heard this story from his favorite professor from college.
the waves represent our life. we start of big, as there are many expectations and obstacles that are waiting for us. as we take in these challenges, we make memories. as the wave approaches the shore, the waves gradually die out only to crash upon the shore. however it goes back to the ocean to become one. we human beings are like that too. once we reach our expiration date, we start another adventure after death. god has something awaiting for us even after death. we follow his footprints embedded in the sand.
