day 73 of (us)

Why sit, when you can stand.
(rsl)

(rsl) current thought:

One thing that I love and appreciate is chairs. Nobody seems to notice or appreciate them. But I do. They support our smelly butts when our feet are too tired to do so. They support our backs, and provide rest, comfort, and opportunity. So many things happen in chairs: family dinners, dates, farts.... They are probably one of the man's most wonderful inventions.

I think my friends are like chairs. They support me when I'm too weak to stand on my own. Lately, I feel like I've lost a leg of my "chair". I feel wobbly and tipsy: metaphorically speaking. Hopefully that leg will heal and I can get my support system back. But the question lies in whether I have to be the carpenter and fix it myself or just let the leg grow back on its own... Hopefully I'll find the answer soon.

thought of the moment: the saying that 'curiosity kills the cat' has been with me ever since i've heard it. i'm always scared to try new things, but always curious on what happens if i try it. for example, girls and guys always wonder what they think of each other. we can never tell, and the only way to know it is to approach them. we try new things to see if it is right for us. life is a learning process, always open to trying new things. that is why we can only look forward.
this year there were many opportunities that were new to me, and i have always doubted myself if i should catch these opportunities or not. in the end the opportunities will only benefit yourself through building confidence. we can never understand others but only yourself. be firm and step forward and always catch opportunities whenever it pops right in front of you.
