day 86 of (us)

"the sunset is ever so soothing, let the sound of the waves drift you away to another world"

jsl's current thought: It has been awhile since I have last made a post on this blog. The sunset was so beautiful at Camp Casey that I had to take a picture of it with my ring. Those of you who don't know me as well, including my friends if you haven't noticed, I always make reference to waves. Not just any waves though, the waves from a body of water. I got so hooked on to waves ever since I have read "Tuesdays with Morrie."
It's a great memoir and honestly I don't really remember any of it. The only thing I remember is the story of the little wave. The little wave, as he approaches the shore, he gets scared because as soon as he crashes to shore, he dies. The older wave in front of him however reminds him, even though death approaches us little by little, we drift back into the ocean and become one. It is a reminder that we, as human beings, cannot escape death. The ring I wear all the time has waves on it and it is a little token of reminder that I have with me. It reminds me of the many thankful things I have in my life and that I should live my life to the fullest with no regrets. We make mistakes and God has set out a path for us. I shall not be afraid and thus follow the flow until I hit the shore and become one with the ocean.
Now you know that every time we have these deep talks my friends, I will and tend to make references to waves....especially when it comes to church...etc.
