'A cloud does not know why it moves in such a direction and at such a speed... It feels an impulsion... this is the place to go now. But the sky knows the reasons and the patterns behind all clouds, and you will know, too, when you lift yourself high enough to see beyond horizons.'
- Richard Bach
(rsl) current thoughts:
This picture reminds me of a childhood fantasy of mine. I have always dreamed of holding a cloud. What does it feel like, is it fluffy? Can I eat it? Do the angels hide their treasures in them?
As I grew older, I learned that clouds were nothing but accumulations of moisture. Bummer. I had to let go of that dream because there really is no such thing as holding a cloud.
These days my biggest worry is my future. I was set, completely set, on doing accounting, but now everything's so confusing and my future seems bleak. Accounting just seemed so practical and in this bad job economy, the most viable option. Now I wonder, what dreams and goals did I give up for practicality and reality?

whatever weather condition you are in, whether you are singing the blues with the trickling rain or laughing with the sunshine as the warm rays shine upon you, a free ice cream scoop will shine your day.
jsl's thought of the day: usually whenever i have cravings, i don't get it because i'm always too lazy to move to get it. but today on the ave, the haagan daaz was having a free scoop day. usually i'm really lazy, but my friend insists that we go. i just went along with it despite the fact i have so much crap to do out of this busy week. as i stood in line just waiting for a free scoop of ice cream, some people who are walking by must be thinking, these people are crazy to stand in line just to get that one free scoop.
yes it does seem crazy that people would wait for hours just to get their free scoop despite the weather, but that's what makes us human right? when we desire something, we try to get it. people are crazy enough to stand in line for hours for an autograph of a famous pop star, a free merchandise, a concert, etc. we do many things to satiate our desires. yes it was crazy to stand in line for ice cream but it was worth it. why you ask? i walked off with a smile on my face because i finally satiated my cravings for ice cream. :)
